Alabama State University Insurance Testing

The State of Alabama Department of Insurance, through the University of Alabama, is responsible for regulating the insurance industry in the State of Alabama. Included in this responsibility is the monitoring of producers to provide quality service to consumers as well as producers. The Producer Licensing Division is directly in charge of ensuring the competence of producers that represent the insurance industry. The Department of Insurance oversees and serves more than 67,000 licensees and processes approximately 180,000 applications of one type or another per year. We conduct testing every Thursday and Friday through computer based testing, where applicants can receive their results as soon as they are finished testing. All tests are fully monitored and delivered by a qualified and certified staff, making sure that all individual procedures and protocols are upheld during testing. We provide a non-biased testing facility, which ensures quality, safe, and efficient test taking can occur.
